Disney is reportedly also working on a Marvel, Pixar, and High School Musical series for the platform. Iger stated that Disney would produce 4-5 original movies a year for the service, in addition to the original TV series. Iger also noted that their platform would be priced “substantially below” Netflix’s $10.99 a month because Disney will have less content to start.

Recent reports had Disney actively seeking out more movie properties in deals with 21st Century Fox. Those reports spurred stock market gains for both companies which may suggest that the deal isn’t officially dead as some have reported. No matter what, Disney is seeking to be a Netflix killer and their properties breed such allegiance that Netflix may actually be sweating.
