SDCC Exclusives Available on 7/28/15

By Joe NUB

If you weren’t able to attend the mega-giant multi-media San Diego Comic Con this year, that means you probably missed out on the dope-@$$ Hasbro exclusives they were peddling at their booth. Fortunately, they keep a small amount to sell online after the show for the loyal fans who weren’t able to attend. Here’s a brief breakdown of what’s available tomorrow on, but move quick because they won’t last long.

At the top, because it’s a personal favorite, is the Doctor Strange “Book of the Vishanti” boxed set retailing at $104.99, featuring five 6″ ML action figures. By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth that’s a great deal! Included is an astral projected version Doctor Strange, Hela, Asgardian goddess of death, Magik, Russian ruler of Limbo, Brother Voodoo, whom a prototype was first shown off years ago, teasing fans, and finally the Dread Dormammu. If the after-market value of Marvel Legends SDCC sets is any indication, this is a set to get. Plus you get a wearable version of the Eye of Agamotto! Fight evil spirits and impress your friends!

If the good doctor isn’t your speed and you’re looking for a smaller set, then check out the Ant-Man boxed set for $64.99. Included is a 12″ Giant Man, a 6″ Goliath, a 3 3/4″ Hank Pym in lab coat, an inch tall Ant-Man, and a minuscule Ant-Man figure too (think tiny sized).

Next is the GIANT sized Transformers 18″ Devastator boxed set with vac-metallized parts, for your pleasure. This set will also see a general release in stores minus the dolled up bits and will contain all six Constructicons to form the mightiest all of gestalt combiners in the Transformers Universe. Incidentally, sculptor and FanboysInc pal, Paul Harding, contacted me earlier today stating that he found one in our local area if I was interested. Thanks Paul for the heads up!

Transformers isn’t done this year and offers repaints of three very popular and difficult-to-find female ‘bots featured in a “Combiner Hunters” boxed set for $74.99.

GI Joe has a few items available if anyone is interested. The smaller Lego inspired, Kre-O sets, of Sgt Slaughter and his Slaughter’s Marauders as well as Destro and his Iron Grenadiers will be sold for $49.99. You get thirteen figures and a vehicle for fifty bucks. Nice price!

Also available is the GI Joe Crimson Strike mega set featuring two vehicles and four action figures. This set retails for  $99.99.

For $24.99 you can own the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens Stormtrooper action figure from the 6″ Black Series. He’s Super Articulated and an army builder so he’s sure to sell out quick.

For those fans of the 80’s Jem series, Hasbro is gearing up for the upcoming movie with a 12″ version that’s truly outrageous! Jem  will retail for $149.99 and will feature an interchangeable head to transform from Jerrica to Jem, another outfit to wear, as well as  a 30″ tall Eiffel Tower diorama to display your figure. That’s HUGE! Now buy Devastator to tear down the Eiffel Tower which GI Joe saves the day!

While there are more items available tomorrow, I just wanted to cover a few for you to salivate over and start counting your pennies. As I mentioned above, these toys won’t be around for long starting tomorrow, but their exclusivity will last a lifetime! -NUB
