CBMB: Suicide Squad Director Teases Something Big Tomorrow

By Muuka Muyumba

David Ayer tweeted this evening that “Something Will Happen” tomorrow in relation to his film which is currently in pre-production. Ayer has posted several photos over the last few weeks that have shown us all the work being poured into Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment’s follow up to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Suicide Squad will be part of the DC Universe of films, according to retweet from Ayer, and will have a “majestic” version of the Joker, suggesting that Jared Leto (as well as the surviving members of the Suicide Squad) will likely be part of the DCU for some time to come.

Twitter’s prevailing theory is that we get a first look at Leto’s Joker look in Suicide Squad. However, my belief is that now the promotional tour is over for Warners just-released Focus, stars and Suicide Squadmembers Margot Robbie and Will Smith could start production, along with the rest of the cast. We could get a first look at the full cast of Suicide Squad, maybe not in costume, but at least together in one room.

That cast includes Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg (reportedly), Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor (rumored), and Jay Hernandez in an unknown role. We could also get confirmation of these unconfirmed roles from Ayer.

Suicide Squad comes out in theaters on August 5, 2016.
