By Muuka Muyumba

Spider-Man: Homecoming is locking in its cast as filming is set to likely start next month, and another addition was announced today as comedic actor Martin Starr is re-teaming with his Geek friend writer John Francis Daley. Daley and his writing partner Jonathan Goldstein are working together on the script for Homecoming, which is said to be a spin on a Breakfast Club-like day in high school life film. Jon Watts is directing.

Starr has been a key contributor to one of the best comedies on TV, Silicon Valley on HBO. Of course, he got his start on Freaks and Geeks, and has starred in other cult-comedies Party Down, as well as films like Adventureland, Knocked Up and Superbad. Starr has already had a cameo in the MCU before The Incredible Hulk as he’s a good friend of the first Hulk Edward Norton.
