CBMB: Jason Mamoa Announces ‘That’s a Wrap’ on Justice League

By Muuka Muyumba

Justice League star Jason Momoa gave an intimate goodbye to his fellow DC super-mates on Saturday as he wrapped principal production on the upcoming blockbuster. Momoa plays Arthur Curry aka Aquaman who, based on the teaser trailer in July, is a reluctant participant in high-jinks Bruce and the other DC gods get into.

Principal photography began on April 11, 2016, shortly after the debut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the theaters. The film was shot around London, Scotland, Iceland, and Los Angeles. Although filming has completed on the London set, rumors have it that pick up shots will happen on the Iceland set over the next month.

Momoa has not taken on any of the traits of his character as he has been an hyped up participant in the production of Justice League. Momoa says that he is headed to the ‘North’ possibly signalling a return to Game of Thrones, which might have been the biggest news to come out of his post.

Momoa can’t make it to the Justice League wrap party, but will join Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher as part of the iconic heroes on screen. Justice League will be DC Comics first chance to put all of its heroes on screen together in an effort to challenge Marvel Studios’ trundling behemoth, which is getting ready to premier its 14th film (Dr. Strange) in November. Zack Snyder is directing the film which is based on a script from Chris Terrio with help from DC Entertainment Geoff Johns.

Justice League hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
