By Muuka Muyumba

We have our teams! The balance of power seems a bit off kilter, but Captain America: Civil War will pit Captain America and Iron Man on opposing sides of a fight to have superheroes adhere to international government regulations that seeks to register all powered people for the safety of civilians.

We don’t yet know how this regulation will affect villains, but we know that the heroes will rage against the machine as Cap seeks to further the cause for Freedom around the world.

Team Iron Man: War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson), Irom Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and Vision (Paul Bettany).

Missing from these photos, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) who had been seen on set, Spider-Man (Tom Holland) who is rumored to have at least a cameo, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) who may or may not be in the film, or even the Red Hulk aka General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), so who knows if we will actually see of these heroes in the film. We also don’t have any images of the villains set to appear in the film which could be a whole other team, like Crossbones (Frank Grillo) or Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).

From Marvel:

‘“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.’

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will helm with the film from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
