CBMB: Ant-Man Brings in 2 More Writers

By Muuka Muyumba

Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer have been hired for this final round of rewrites, and they will also be on-set in case the script needs some fixing (this is a common practice), according to Latino Review.  The duo previously were working on a big screen adaptation of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and also the Magic Castle movie, which is still in development.

The two writers are also responsible for the 2010 Black Listed script Die in a Gunfight which suggests an above-average level of talent.  However, the addition of these writers also adds to the Ant-Man legacy of muddled development.

Currently Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd (Anchorman) as Scott Lang, Oscar-winner Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Corey Stall (House of Cards), Evangeline Lily (LOST), and Patrick Wilson (The A-Team). Peyton Reed (The Break Up) was recently brought on to replace Edgar Wright as director, while Ferrari and Barrer join Adam McKay (The Other Guys)on the writing staff. Ant-Man is still scheduled for release on July 17th, 2015.
